Public, educational and government (PEG) access channels serve more than 90 communities throughout Vermont (http://www.vermontaccess.net/.)
The communities in Chittenden County are served by an alliance of community media centers that offer training,
equipment and cable airtime to individuals and community based organizations for no or low cost.

Vermont Community Access Media – Channel 15 is the
public access organization serving greater Chittenden County.
It is the mission of public access to provide all citizens with content neutral access to the latest digital
media resources, and thereby ensure the continuation of unfettered free speech and the strength of the first amendment to the constitution.
VCAM's free workshop series is designed to help newcomers to VCAM become familiar with the basic concepts and nomenclature of digital media production and distribution.

Regional Educational Technology Network – Channel 16. RETN Channel 16 North is the educational access channel serving the communities of
Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction, Winooski, Williston, St. George, and a small part of Colchester. RETN Channel 16 South serves Charlotte, Ferrisburgh, Hinesburg, Shelburne, and Vergennes. Our primary focus is collaborative work with local
educational institutions and organizations to produce programs for learning from regional events to spotlights on students’ skills.
Training in video production and emerging media skills are available on an ongoing basis. Students, teachers, interns, and volunteers can

CCTV – Channel 17/ Town Meeting TV is the government access and public affairs channel
serving the communities of Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction,
Winooski, Williston, Colchester, St. George. Our primary focus is gavel to gavel coverage of municipal meetings, regional events, legislative activities, election candidates,
issues and results. Training in video production, new media skills and computer basics are available throughout each month. Volunteers can learn how to do meeting coverage, produce their
own public affairs programs or help to staff Channel 17’s weeknight call in show: Live at 5.25. Paid field producers and staff members are typically recruited from our volunteer ranks.
Lake Champlain Access Television – Channels 15 and 16 Lake Champlain Access Television is
a not-for-profit public, education and government access television facility for the communities of Colchester, Milton and Georgia, Vermont. LCATV exists to give members of these communities
the resources to create and utilize a televised public forum. LCATV equipment, air time and training is available to its membership free of charge so they may produce original access programming
on Comcast cable channels 15 and 16.
